Conference Theme: Killer Stereotypes!

An investigation into common misconceptions surrounding homicide and serial murderers, looking specifically into gender and race stereotypes. Featuring guest speakers Dr. Marissa Harrison and Dr. Rachael Strebel in a guided discussion with Dr. Cortney Franklin, and two surprise celebrity cameo appearances.

A WorlD-Class Lineup of speakers

Dr. Marissa A. Harrison is a research psychologist who investigates serial murder, and interest in serial murder, from evolutionary and other psychological perspectives. Her dozens of research publications, framed through an evolutionary lens, cover various areas of human sexuality, from saying "I love you," to physical attraction, to homicide.

As a safety specialist with a PhD in Forensic Psychology, Dr. Rachael Strebel has extensive experience in conducting research and investigations on child safety, violent crimes, policy, and risk assessment. She has collaborated with various law enforcement agencies, state agencies, and non-profit organizations to deliver evidence-based solutions and recommendations for improving social outcomes and justice.

Each year, ACJA hosts a lineup of outstanding practitioners, trainers, and thought-leaders to educate our membership on the most important issues in the criminal justice field.
